Lake Blue Rugs are custom and one-of-a-kind, hand tufted, wool area rugs, hand made by me, Jane Dunphy.
Wool is the fibre of choice for rugs because it is durable, fire and stain resistant and easy to clean. All of my rugs are made with 100% pure Canadian and New Zealand wools. I have over 100 colours to choose from, including natural, un-dyed wools in shades of white, grey and brown. I will be introducing hand dyed wools to the mix. This will increase my colour range but also add an element of interest to the rugs. I'll post pictures as soon as I can!
The pile is very dense and luxurious. When complete, the surface of the rug is sheared for a smooth finish. Each rug is backed with Hessian cloth and then signed and dated.
