My felted works are all made using super fine, pure Merino wool, silk, cotton and other natural materials.
I am a "wet felter" so I use hot soapy water to shrink (called fulling) the wool fibers. Many of my scarves are Nuno felted - also a wet felting process, where the wool fibers are gently worked through the weave of a cloth, like silk or cotton, before fulling the wool - this bonds the two materials and can create some beautiful effects.
